Who Is a Provider?
A provider on BilaFundi is anyone who offers a construction-related service. This includes general contractors, civil engineers, architects, interior designers, plumbers, electricians, masons, equipment rental companies, and building materials suppliers. If you build, design, supply, or maintain, you are a provider.
Registering as a Provider
If you already have a BilaFundi account with the Client role, you can upgrade to Provider by visiting /become-provider from your dashboard. If you are registering fresh, select Provider during signup.
Completing Your Provider Profile
A complete profile gets significantly more visibility in search results and builds trust with potential clients. Go to /professional and fill in:
- Professional headline — one sentence describing what you do and where you operate (e.g. "Licensed civil contractor specialising in residential construction across Nairobi County").
- Bio — two to four paragraphs covering your background, experience, notable projects, and what makes you different.
- Skills and specialisations — select all categories that apply to your work.
- Years of experience and country of operation.
- Profile photo — a professional headshot or company logo builds immediate credibility.
Posting Your First Service
After completing your profile, post a service listing at /discover/create. Each listing represents one specific service you offer. See our separate guide: How to Post a Service Listing.
Getting Verified
BilaFundi admins review provider profiles and can award a Verified badge. Verified providers appear higher in search and receive a trust badge on their profile. Verification is more likely when your profile is complete, you have posted at least one active service, and your organisation (if applicable) has uploaded its registration documents.
Joining an Organisation
If you work for or own a registered company, register your organisation at /organisations/create. Organisation members can post tenders and access enterprise procurement features. See our guide: How to Register a Business or Government Organisation.
