The Karsdorf complex measure covers the renewal of railway infrastructure at Karsdorf station in connection with the new construction of an electronic interlocking (ESTW), modernisation of technical systems, and renewal of two level crossings. The scope includes track and switch renewal (including ballast and sleeper works), cable civil engineering (cable routes for signalling and power supply, surface reinstatement, drainage and engineering works), construction works for new/adapted/demolished ESTW structures, and 50 Hz electrical works (track field lighting, switch heating, energy distribution and cable systems). All works are to be carried out while maintaining rail traffic operations.
